BRAND NEW!
New Advanced Seminar
Beginning in April. 2010, at the request of many seminar
participants, there will be a new advanced seminar offering.
It will meet 2 days, twice a year, for the benefit of those
traveling from out of the immediate region. It will be the two days
preceding the Bowen Center Spring and November meetings. So, this
year the first 2-day seminar will meet April 14 and 15 since the
Bowen Center spring meeting will be the 16th-19th. The second
section, in November will probably be on Nov. 11 and 12. This will
be announced definitely when the Bowen Center announces its date.
Falls Church Advanced Seminar
At the request of several out-of-town participants who have
completed three years in the Extraordinary Leadership Seminar, a new
Seminar will begin in April, 2010. It will be coordinated in time
with the Bowen Center for the Study of the Family's two annual
meetings so that people can stay for them if they wish. The new
seminar will meet in Falls Church, where hotels are less expensive.
Falls Church is only 7 miles from D.C. so it is possible that one
could stay in the same hotel for both conferences and attend the
Bowen Center conference by Metro. For more details click

"The Cornerstone Concept": In Leadership, In
Life
Dr. Bowen often
referred to the concept of differentiation of self as the
“cornerstone” concept. It describes the variation in nature,
especially human nature, and it shows us a way to do better with
what we have inherited, both genetically and in the emotional
process of the generations, from our families. It is a cornerstone
for thinking about and accomplishing better functioning in any
individual life.
